Independent researcher of biofield phenomena

Franc Šturm is a Slovenian independent researcher and innovator whose work focuses on the study of what he describes as the biofield and its role in human well-being and natural environments. For several decades, he has explored traditional knowledge systems, historical practices, and natural sites associated with non-conventional energetic phenomena.

His work draws inspiration from pre-Christian and folk traditions, including practices attributed to early Slavic and regional “old faith” communities, which, according to historical sources, used natural locations and stone structures for healing and balance.

Research Background

Šturm’s research centers on the observation of naturally occurring energetic locations and patterns in the landscape. He studies how specific spatial arrangements—such as stones, natural formations, and geometric layouts—were historically used to influence human experience and health.

According to his interpretation, traditional cultures were able to recognize and utilize subtle environmental forces, which he describes as healing or harmonizing fields. His work attempts to reconnect these historical insights with contemporary exploratory research.

Biofield Research and Development

Building on long-term observation and experimentation, Šturm has spent more than twenty-five years developing devices intended to interact with or regulate what he refers to as the biofield. These devices are described as passive systems based on form, material composition, and spatial configuration.

Within his conceptual framework, these developments aim to:

  • support balance between individuals and their environment,
  • explore interactions between natural fields and modern electromagnetic influences,
  • recreate conditions similar to those found at historically significant natural sites.

Šturm emphasizes that his work is exploratory in nature and based on accumulated experience rather than formal academic models.

Traditional Knowledge and the “Fifth Force” Concept

A recurring theme in Šturm’s work is the idea of a so-called “fifth force”—a term he uses to describe a subtle, non-classical influence observed in nature and historical healing practices. He associates this concept with locations where people historically sought restoration or relief, often through ritualized interaction with the natural environment.

This interpretation links his research to broader studies of cultural heritage, ethnography, and alternative understandings of human–environment interaction.

Documentation and Collaboration

Šturm has collaborated with other independent researchers and enthusiasts interested in traditional landscape knowledge. As part of this effort, he has contributed to the documentation of energetically significant locations through initiatives such as Megalithic Slovenia, a project dedicated to recording observations of stone structures and natural sites.

Research Position

Šturm’s work is conducted outside formal scientific institutions and does not claim alignment with established biomedical or physical sciences. Instead, it represents a long-term independent research path grounded in observation, historical comparison, and practical experimentation.

His findings are presented as open research, intended for documentation and further examination rather than definitive conclusions.

Optional positioning statement

This work represents an independent research process inspired by traditional knowledge and long-term observation. Findings are documented over time and presented for transparency and ongoing exploration.
